Follow the instructions below to apply online, or you can fax us a paper application. SLM Financial will make a decision about your application within 48 hours.

1. Visit the SLM website (link opens a new window).



2. Click the "Begin Loan Application" button.



3. In the State field, select VA.
   Click the "Next" button.



4. In the School field, select DB-TRAINING - VIENNA VA 22182.
   In the Contact field, enter Wendy Loundermon.
   In the School code field, enter 600433.
   Click the "Next" button.



5. In this section, SLM Financial will ask you to select your repayment options. These options include deferred payments, interest only payments and repayment term. You may chose to select one or neither of the deferred or interest only payments. If you do not select a repayment term SLM will select 15 years for you.
   
   With deferred payments, you would pay $10 per month while you are in class. Interest will be accumulating on the loan while you are deferring the payments, so the overall cost of the loan will be increased with this option.
   
   With interest only payments, you would just pay the interest on the loan for the months you are in the class. Again, you will not be reducing the principle of the loan for those months, so the overall cost of the loan will be increased by this option, too.
   
   You may take up to 15 years to repay the loan. Interest rates vary based upon your credit history as does the supplemental fee of 2 - 7% of the loan. There is no prepayment penalty. To give you an idea what your monthly payments will be, download our payment schedule spreadsheet.
   
   Your graduation date will be the same as your last day of class and your disbursement date should be one business day prior to the class start date.
   
   When you have completed this section, click the "Next" button.



6. In the remaining sections, please fill in your financial information.

Once you have completed your application, SLM will email your loan forms to us. We will contact you when we receive them.
